    • Seagate IronWolf 10GB?

      • Yes - Seagate IronWolf 10TB 3.5" SATA Internal NAS Hard Drive HDD

        • -1

          Yes, agreed that the Seagate is cheaper, but how is that comparable?

          That is almost like saying buy a Ford because it's cheaper than a Holden.

          Good price on a different product but you are not comparing the same product. I would buy a WD Red over a Seagate Ironwolf for ~$20 given my bad experiences with seagate (even if the ironwolf is now better the bad experience still lingers)

          @leyton01: only ever bought wd, never had a HDD die yet.

          @leyton01: I've had 4 out of my 5 3TB Seagates fail….. Finding it hard to remain a fanboy after that…

        • @Jetsom: never mind…

          @Jetsom:
          Seagate 3TB are known bad.

          Failure rates
          wiki

          Something like 70% fail rate over 3 years.

          That fail rate is not seen in their other drives (that I am aware of).

      True that, plus black Friday and Amazon hitting Australia coming up, I'm predicting insane deals.

        If Amazon doesn’t start off with a bang, Harvey will be gloating.
