I'm guessing that a lot of the movies will be older ones so even if it's not the latest edition there wouldn't be many movies left out (from the last few years).
I should send a copy to each of the free to air TV stations and say, "rather than show Die Hard x for the 47th time this week, why not work your way through this book?"

The booted all 3 Lord of the Rings movies out? Even if its just counted for the shear scale of the movie, it has to be up there in he top 50, even if you count all 3 as one.

LOTR is only for idiots who like mainstream trash.. its supposed to be about good movies not popular movies.. the fact it doesn't have lord of the rings makes it MORE credible than if it did.
I would be torn - I dont like the LOTR movies either but I dont think I could even name 1000 memorable movies. I would put it in for the sheer sake of how to sleepwalk through directing/writing/acting a movie
yes but it isnt whether you can name 1,000, it's whether experts can..
let's just rule out hollywood (except for classics) and the trash is gone off the bat..
i think in the 50's and 60's etc america made really good movies, but these days it is more or less mainly idiotic trash (see transformers 2).
The book is about movies to see before you die. LOTR is the ultimate fantasy trilogy. But then again, some people jut don't get it.
is there an adult version of this book?
