I'm in need of a new phone, and I am very tempted on the Pixel 2XL.
Do you guys reckon there will be any sort of sale anytime soon?
I can get some vouchers that will save me around $85, but wondering whether i should buy now or wait a little bit for xmas sale maybe?

The prices of Pixel phones don't tend to drop as quickly as Samsung, LG, etc. The fact that it's a JB/Telstra exclusive doesn't help. I'd say there's unlikely to be a significant sale.
Pixel 1 XL didn't really have a significant discount until the 2s were announced AFAIK.
Brand new flagship phone with Google's marketing budget - I doubt you'll get a sale anytime soon unless you're considering grey imports.
What's driving you towards the Pixel 2 XL? It's a hefty price tags considering the specs.
Would love to experience stock android.

And contrary to popular opinions, I really like the design of the XL.
I have both the 1 XL and 2 XL.
Definitely not reverting to bloatware Android. Had Samsung, LG, Sony before this. All of them grind to a halt after roughly 12 months. The 1 XL was still performing like new when I switched to the 2 XL.
I only upgraded because the 2 is water resistant. The water sports casing on the 1 XL muffled the mic to the point of disuse.
So far, my thoughts on the 2 XL - squeeze edge is useless, lack of headphones port is disappointing, camera is better than 1 (which is a tall order) and the larger screen isn't necessary. If you don't spend much time near water, the 1 XL is a better buy.

When you say useless do you mean gimmicky or that it doesn't work well?
Try the Nokia phones like the 7 , I thought they are stock android.
