Hope someone can clarify about the audio out port on the Mi Box as I couldn't get exact information.
The pictures and specs list show that there is an audio out which uses both Optical or 3.5 mm jack from the same port. Can someone who has one of these boxes please clarify if an optical cable would fit in to the audio out port?

Thanks. With this cable, will it still push surround sound or is it not going to be as good?
In theory it should "just work". I use optical from my tv to my receiver, and it used to do surround (before they got rid of all the HD channels so that they could create a million rubbish channels using the bandwidth they saved).
Same connection the Chromecast Audio uses :) you would just need the right cord as linked above
You would need a 3.5mm toslink cable or adapter. Must admit, I have not tried this. Mine is connected by HDMI to my receiver.
