I ordered a google home mini thru The Good Guys ebay on 2nd of November. They did not do any effort to dispatch the item. When I ring the store about shipping delivery, a lady was responded me with anger and she said it will send out today. Then she hanged up the phone. Do you guys have any problem with that store? or I am just unlucky.
Thanks Heap
Is The Good Guys Still Good Guys?

For bog problems you want either a plumber or a doctor. If you are going to a retail store for bog problems it's no surprise they're not acting like good guys.
Haven't experienced bad service from Good Guys.. which store did you speak to?
Maybe you are just unlucky and she's having a bad day at work.yea I think so. I spoke to The Good Guys Caringbah
For further assistance The Good Guys Customer Care
team is available Monday to Saturday 9am - 5pm AEDT1300 466 348
I suggest you to call that number, they are really helpful.
lady was responded me with anger
lol what did she do?
hahaha nooo.
Yeah, I get attitude to. Now I just treat them like what they are, robots. Asking the same question again and again with slightly different wording until I get the desirable response.
Much like hacking in movies from the 80's!
I just burst out laughing at this! Have to give this a try next time.
haha sure I think I have to call them till I get desirable answer.
Been over a week waiting for a click and collect confirmation.
Well seem like I am not the only one
I chose the delivery tho.
Always had great experiences with them at my local store
I have 3 TGG stores around me. The level of service provided by each one is very different. I guess it depends on the franchisee? I only shop from the one store that I found to be reasonably pleasant.
Didn't TGG get acquired by JB HiFi? I thought there were no franchises anymore.
Didn't TGG get acquired by JB HiFi? I thought there were no franchises anymore.
a parent entity (jh hifi) can acquire the franchisor (tgg) and still have agreements in place to allow the franchisees to operate under the sub brand tgg.
edit. a few posters on gizmodo has posted rumours that jb paid out tgg franchisees.
My understanding was that they paid out the franchisees.
You might be right, the local TGG near me used to have the owners name on the front and it disappeared after the JB Hifi buyout.
See if you can find a contact for their head office or post on their Facebook page.
Give the store and what happened. It’s bad for their brand for this to happen but no it’s not the first time I’ve heard of issues through their eBay store
I dont have any problem whenever I walk in and buy some stuff.
This is my 2nd time ebay order from them.
first time was keyboard. It has been damaged but they fixed it ASAP (yea talked to me politely).
Yea this time, I want google home mini so bad and waiting time is becoming unbearable for me.
I will wait till Wedneday. But if they still are not doing for my item, I will give it a try calling head office.
Bikes……
Do they sell bikes at TGG?
They're good here. Send an email to head office. They can't let this sort of stuff slide in an age where they compete so heavily with cheap overseas sellers.
Yep whenever I walk in local store, I dont have any problem.
this is 2nd time ebay order from them and I got problem with first order as well.
Generally I have received very poor service at TGG stores, it is like the staff think I owe them something?
Maybe The Good Guys and "nice guys" have something in common?
Yup!
I am just unlucky.
You may not have a lucky face.
a woman is not a guy — biology 101
a woman is not a guy
the word guys as in the good guys isn't gender specific.
Good guys have been great guys when we have bought stuff.
I've never found them to be good guys.
Op, some candid feedback…
Judging by your typing, I'm guessing English is not your first language. It's not mine either, but after many years in the lucky country watching British & American sitcoms, I'm more bogan than most…
My point is, if you come across as "fresh of the boat" in person or over the phone, you will be treated differently. Fact of life down under. I would recommend you stand firm and ask point blank why are you been spoken down to. Or if in person, why the rude demeanour.
It took me many years to gather such confidence, but once you stand up for yourself, most of your run of the mill bogan sales reps will break down and treat you fairly.
Another approach is to seek sales reps from your part of the world. When I goto a HN or TGG in person, I often do that just to avoid unpleasant confrontations from someone local who thinks bargaining is 'unaustralian'
I don't mean to sound rude or snooty, just some real world observations…
never good, generally disappointing guys
Waiting for item bought on ebay. They sold it for delivery only (no stock for pick up Sydney) and later stated that it was on back-order. Waited 4 weeks now and get new ETA's everytime that I ring. I also bought goods for pick up Sydney and no probs with those.
If it wasn't for the great price after 20% off then I would cancel and give a BIG negative.
Is it also possible to give feedback on ebay after an order is cancelled, or is your opportunity to give feedback cancelled too?Dislike the fact they take your drivers license information, want PayPal transaction ID etc for Click and Collect. They store the information for 7 years apparently.
I have a bog problem with that store.
To answer your question, no, they are not good guys.
