Would you:
A) buy the Sony 55x9300e for $1650 delivered after eb games code, survey code and pricepal 2.7% cashback, with the price protection and extra warranty Amex offers.
B) Buy the Panasonic TH55EZ950U OLED for $2295 with a $150 Harvey Norman gift voucher. This would be split across 2 Amex’s, so I think lose the price protection and extra warranty as not paid in full.

Hisense 55N7 is well-priced ($1036 on sale recently) and uses a Samsung panel so that's another alternative. I think the Smart TV functionality of the Samsung is better though.
To be honest i was probably leaning toward the Sony. The 55n7 looks pretty good for around $1000, but is it in the same league as the 9300 Sony? No store near me stocks it, they only go as high as the 9000 so can’t really check it out.
With all the deals on the Sony getting it down to $1650, it costs around the same as the 8500e.
I think I replied to your comment in the other TV thread, so I'll just leave this here too:

The bitter fight between Japanese TV, brand Sharp and Chinese brand Hisense in the USA market, has taken a new twist with Sharp claiming that the Hisense made, Sharp branded, TV’s leak radiation are smaller in screen size, brightness and resolution than indicated on packaging and web pages.
Since the claims were made in a US Court, Hisense has moved to modify information on their US web site. The same size modifications to sizes have not been made on Hisense Australia web sites.
Not sure how much of that is relevant to Australia. Our models seem to line-up with the Hisense US ones. Sharp/Foxconn are claiming that the sub-par production is intentional by Hisense, and that the the Hisense-branded television is offered at a higher price and as a higher-quality product. It's hard to know where the truth lies when Sharp sold their brand in the US for peanuts and now the new owners (Foxconn) want it back.
The panel of the equivalent 55" Samsung 4K TV is 54.6" and UHD resolution too, so half of the lawsuit already looks a bit silly.
+1 to this (55N7), gets great reviews and excellent buying at that price - with the money saved put it away to get a nice OLED in a few yrs time.
Go for a SAMMY. Recently my 55 incher that i purchased in 2012 died. They refunded me the money after 5 freaking years!!!!!
Right now Samsung makes the best panels, so I'd go with a Samsung TV. The only reason I wouldn't buy a Samsung screen would be if I was going to buy the new LG OLED super-thin TV, because that has no Samsung alternative.
Not even a fanboy either, literally everyone wants to use Samsung displays in their products if they can source them (e.g. Apple for their iPhones, etc).
