Very cheap set of all the pliers you'd probably ever need.
I can't find stock locally (Sydney) so am getting delivered. YMMV.

It might be sold out in your area, but a couple of stores in Adelaide have stock. Just bought a set for C&C: https://imgur.com/a/tUuis
Some stores in Brisbane show in stock as well.
Also available in Bathurst, Orange and Mudgee
Looks ok for the money,
just don't get them wet,or drop them
and it's probably best if you don't use them either , just to be safe

Great set of pliers
Really love the set, they work great, only thing that would make them better would be a case for them

great tools
value and quality
I'm sure people who shop at sca for their handtools really know quality
Have a set, they're rubbish. The pliers don't meet, the cutters don't cut.
Not a bargain at any price because they're rubbish. If they were free I'd only take a set to save someone else relying on them.
No idea who's writing the reviews, but they're all bullshit and lies. I use the cutters to trim PCB components after soldering and they're not even up to that job!
Get a file and sharpen them?
I have a pair sidecutters that are 30 years old and I've never had to sharpen them.
You shouldn't have to sharpen sidecutters.
Depends on the steel hardness and what you use them for.
If you're after some light-duty sidecutters, these I swear by (and have replaced the ones in the above set): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/P00337-Electrical-Wire-Cableā¦
Sometimes quality can be had at a bargain!
@picklewizard: I have some of those from Ali and the steel is to soft i dented the cutting edge by sniping copper wire it was not even that thick.
Soft steel is always easy to fix so i fixed them with a file.
@picklewizard: I'd hope anyone doing electronics assembly / rework would be cluey enough to not go anywhere near these. If not, they will know after their first use! These hopefully will be fine though for holding onto nuts and other general uses.
@thevofa: That's exactly what I use my squirrels for.
Funnily enough I have a set of small SCA files and they're not much better :p
If that is the case then why are they sold out Everywhere?
Maybe cause they are cheap :)
Thanks, managed to grab a set.
Lol then read the above review :P
So did I. Where was picklewizard before we bit the bullet? It's just $12 though. Haha!
Thanks OP, got one and grabbed a set of multigrips for $9
Talk about excessive… Get yourself a good pair of needle nose, butt nose, multi grips and side cutters and the rest are pointless.
I'm a qualified electrician and now work in electrical project engineering. I've grown up with tools and know how to use them. While, I have no worries with buying cheap tools in some categories (power tools and fixed spanners for instance), I reckon that when it comes to pliers, shifters, grips, side cutters etc, buy the very best you can afford. Buy brand names in these categories.
I have both good expensive tools and cheap rubish ones, i use the rubish ones on jobs that i know where it will damage the tool, break it or i have to modify it to turn it into a custom tool. Both have their uses.
Also these are okish.. i had a set and they are pretty soft but do most common things. Don't expect the vice grips to last very long though, mine pretty much broke in a couple of uses.
