Just bought QC 35 a day before the Harvey Norman cashback, making myself extremely hurt.
How Do You Feel after Purchasing Something That Goes on Special The Day after?

I'm guessing OP be like:
https://i.imgur.com/OvWIC8k.jpgcredit card price protection.
also some stores have a 30 day price match guarantee.yeah, my first reaction would be, WHAT CREDIT CARD DID I USE?????????????????????? LOL
eBay. Everytime.
I bought Nandos the other day and didn't notice until I got halfway home I could have gotten a free large side by scanning a separate promo code in my Nandos app (which I used to scan to collect points).
Devastated.
jv?
first world problem?
Almost all forum topics and basically the website is also…
A true ozbargainer would buy another one and return it with the first receipt.
I read that it was hard to return @ HN based on 'change of mind'. Still got those $8 go lunch boxes unopened in my storage.. >_>
The glaringly obvious tip here is to never buy ANYTHING full priced at HN.
Like sh*t.
I buy it again
Exactly, average down your cost by buying another one at the reduced price. :)
Bloody fantastic if it's at the good guys as I get refunded 120% of the difference! Everywhere else, a scale of slightly depressed to what is life depressed depending on how much I spend,
I am a PRO ozbargainer, never happened and never will.
Jinxed!
I get excited because being a true OzB I've bought it on Coles card and now I can claim for price protection!
Sick, and close to mailing my ozbargain badge back
I rebuy the item at the cheaper price, and return one with the original higher priced receipt. Annoying, but simples!
Do you return it with the box? Wouldn't they be able to see from the serial no when it was purchased?
Can't have buyer's remorse of you don't buy anything *taps forehead
Happens to me all the time very frustrating
Hahaha, how come only negative poll options?
I'm usually fine. If I was happy to buy it at that price, then I was happy to pay that price. Sales happen literally all the time - if I got mad or sad everytime I bought before a sale, I'd be sad or mad all the bloody time!
Get your logical, glass half full, no regrets attitude out of here! For shame! This thread is a cathartic way for the rest of us to share misery and wallow in self pity.
OP describes as being "extremely hurt" yet no option to share that.
I bought air condition from Harvey Norman for $799 on Sunday and the following day Amex HN offer spend $400 get $100 credit became available cost me $200 more :( If it wasn't that heavy and bulky I would have returned the item.
same feeling when missin out on a special a day after it expires.
