Any similar Gsync options? Seems the Freesync monitors are much more commn, maybe time to jump ships to AMD?
G-Sync monitors have a price premium attached as they are a hardware solution, as opposed to FreeSync being a software solution. There are some 144hz/1080p/G-Sync monitors out there, but if you're paying the G-Sync premium you're probably better stepping up to 1440p providing you've got the GPU to power it.
AMD have some compelling GPU options now IF you can find them in stock at the right the price, which is a pretty big if. Definitely scope them out if you're planning an upgrade.
Yeah Vega 56 flashed to a 64 bios plus some tinkering (undervolt + overclock) performs very nicely and actually trades blows with the GTX 1080 in some games.
I was going to get one myself but got a deal on a gtx 1080 that was too good to pass up on.
The Samsung G70 for $367 is good too: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/162495840630
For the extra money you get a curved screen with a VA panel instead of TN for better colour reproduction and higher contrast.
I've heard the VA panels suffer from ghosting though, not good for a gaming monitor.
Any opinions on these monitors? Large 2k screens, not best refresh rates for fast paced gaming, but otherwise seem impressive
Lenovo 27" for $348

Philips 32" for $459 (was 400 yesterday before price jacking, not as good value now)

what's the refresh rate for that Lenovo 27?
4 milliseconds
Pretty good deal for Team Red gamers on a budget.
