I am looking for carpet shampooer and found this deal. Don't have experience how effective it is but I think half price is great discount.

  In general I'd avoid anything Wertheim, it's Godfreys brand and that's why you only see them in their own stores (no price comparison).

  My issues:

  • Reliability issues and Godfreys are known for blaming the consumer for product faults.
  • No idea who is building them, in the past high end Wertheim machines were made in either Electrolux or Hoover factories but now many of the cheap models have no association to quality brands.
  • build quality….. pick one up then pick up the comparable bissel
  • inflated rrp, they never intend to sell this product for $299. It's priced that high with a massive margin so it can easily be discounted to and past half price and still provide a profit.

    Sure enough Wayback Machine tells us it was $99 in April of this year, and also November last year.
