Optiontown for AirAsia X - not eligible?

I have a number of AirAsia X itineraries Syd-Kul and Kul-Syd, and I get the following response to Upgrade/Empty Seat (UTO & ESO) requests:-
"We are sorry to inform that your itinerary is not eligible to participate at this time. We are continuously expanding our program and hope to provide service to you in future. Please do check back with us on your future trips."
This follows close on the heels of AirAsia X pulling out of Optiontown ESP (Empty Seat Pass) sales.
I am wondering if anyone else is having the same problem (maybe different origins/destinations)
Maybe AirAsia X is renegotiating or have pulled out completely.

    My booking was allowing me to use OptionTown before for spare seats but wont show any options anymore but it does not show that message, my itinerary is HKG-KUL and KUL-MELB

    I am wondering too the relationship of Optiontown withAirAsia. I think they have pulled out from AirAsia. If so can someone suggest any alternative way to buy empty seat with AirAsia. Any advice?
