any good deal on wipers from repco ?

why can't they launch a proper website,

even worse than MSY, without any pricelist or products range.

    • +4

If they put their prices online, everyone will see thru their pricing structure. Therefore it is in their best interests not to have the information online.

    • @phunkydude

      Exactly right!

I reckon they lose so much business to Supercheap, simply because they have a terrible/non-existent website.

why can't they launch a proper website

I am convinced that after comparing shelf prices to Supercheap, they realise they are generally a fair bit more expensive, a website would just advertise that, this way they can get some people in the door.

    • so 50% off is more like 25% off then.

      • +1

pretty much, or about the same as local stock inc shipping on ebay

      • 50% off bulbs = normal ebay price.

        • +1

They're not that bad guys. Ebay bulbs are pure shit. At least with the repco ones, you can take them back.

        • @outlander:
I was meaning the narva ones. Repco came to 20c cheaper than express shipped ebay ones haha.

        • Agree. I get name brands form UK auto sellers. Don't know why but always close to half Aus price.

        • @InsertName:

Really? Wow. Thats pretty damn good if its authentic narva ones.

        • +1

          What's narva?

        • @InsertName: Narva globes aren't any better in my opinion. I personally use Koito/Stanley (both from Japan) and they outlast anything available locally.

        • 50% off soda bulbs? That's heaps sick eh

        • @t25: I wasn't too happy with the narva intense ones I bought. They were much more yellow than my friends which were the same

        • @InsertName: Having used Narva, their consistency is not standard. But it seems many mechanics and even Repco seem to push Narva as the better alternative.

  • I hope the trico ones are on special ive been waiting to grab some

    • are trico the beez? sick of having to hear squeaky wipers.. even when new..

      • Special is normally $40 for the pair i dont think they are as good as the top brands but they do last. Im not sure on the squeaky noise they may help as the put more pressure on the screen.

  • Never regretted switching to top shelf wipers. I've added them to things I don't skimp on: tyres, bedding, shoes and socks.

I switched to Bosch Aerotwins. They're a full replacement of the original metal unit and not only look better but also are dead quiet. Great switch I think.

      • Do Repco sell Bosch Aerotwins?

        • Me interested to know as well

        • Nope. Only ever seen trico and the home brands at Repco

        • No they don't unfortunately. I bought mine from sparesbox/ebay when they're having a sale.

  • …do they still make bicycles? my first roadbike (back when they were called 'racers') when i was a kid was a repco 'traveller'.
    terrible f'in bike :P
