So my solder joint holding the SD card down has come away in my pixi. 11 months old. Anyone done a warranty job on these? and what's the equivalent replacement these days (this has all network bands) and apart from the camera has been really good.

Pixi 4.5 was exceptionally good value and far better than many phone.
Recently purchased the Alcatel POP4 5051x from Mobileciti via eBay using discount code for my father.
For an entry level phone it's pretty good and comes unlocked.
With no 850 Telstra and voda wouldn't work ?
850Mhz is not the only band in use by Telstra or Vodafone; so yes it will work.

@CLoSeR: I'm a starter pack slut, haha. So need all band support. Pixi 4.5 does it well. So need an equivalent. No gyro on the Sonys which I need (I have an xperia, Pixi is a lot better). Definitely no 2100 Telstra here, so need 850. Cheers for the link.

It won't be difficult to find a phone better than the Pixi 4.5. That's pretty much a supermarket phone that sold for $29 at Woolworth's which I guess is where you got yours from.
For product replacements you just need a receipt and WW will refund it.
You can pick up a Sony Xperia XA $119 locally from Voda and it costs nothing to unlock.
