  • I've swapped out the old lights in my Chevy van for these. A little dimmer than I expected but they work great!

  • Is the limit 1

    • +2

1 at a time, 3 times per account. Bit of nuisance

      • yes stupid for everyone, they now have to send me 3 separate parcels.

        • +1

yeah, costs them more in postage than to allow people to buy 3 in the same transaction

  • Suss specs?

In the visible light spectrum a 100% efficient LED might only give ~350lm/W IIRC?
    Lucky to get 100lm/W?

IIRC BA is specified to 50% of LUX (brightness) off maximum - straight ahead.
Commonly ~120 degree spread - 60 from centre.

360 degrees suggesting [full] illumination behind the substrate - not in this universe ;-)

    PS: Perhaps 5W??

  • What is the colour temperature of these?

    • Light

    • +2

      these have slightly blue tinge

I got some similar ones from a different vendor, both bulbs died within 6 months.

    Going back to halogen :(

    • +2

both bulbs died within 6 months.

At 14 cents each, these cost you $1 for 3.5 years based on your figure. How much are halogens?

      • -1

Halogen are 24 cents each on eBay.

OEM bulbs that came with the car lasted 15 years, will see how the eBay ones go.

You're lucky. Mine were blowing at least twice a year until I go LED ones.

          @jv:

Likely due to only driving on smooth roads and stock suspension - have only had 4 bulbs go out in 17 years.

    • +1

oh shit, bought a pair last month at over $1 each, this means i would may need replacements in 5 months time, have to stock up now at this price

      • Plus its a pain in the arse to swap the license plate bulbs.

Also run the risk of getting a fine if both go out unnoticed.
