Buying China Sim Card from Oz

Had a quick read but couldnt find anything, so asking this great community….

I am heading to China soon after last trip in 5 years. A lot of things have changed so almost starting from new….

Having had a bad experience in Japan (took over 2 hrs to get a SIM card), we want to get a China SIM card before we fly out. There are a lot of mentions of this China Unicorn. Has anyone used them, and where is the best place to buy it from?

The best outcome would be someone who just come back can offload their SIM card to me, just transfer ownership. I'll shout coffee, or something stronger.

    2 cents: If you transit in Singapore help yourself with a StarHub prepaid, which not only gives you roaming but bypasses the Great firewall out of the box.

    No don’t like indirect flights.

    If you're with Vodafone you can use your plan abroad for $5 a day. You just need to activate it. Some trips it works out to be marginally more expensive, but you can tether with your travel partner if you have one and split the cost.

      Thanks but I’m after China SIM card. I already have roaming with Telstra.
