65"+ TV around The $1500 Mark

So my LG 60PV250 plasma bit the dust after a hard 6 years - just sound no picture and a crackly electrical sound from the back of the TV so i'm going to replace it

Looking for something at least 60" pref 65, and around the $1500 mark. - i dont have anything to play 4k content and tbh probably wont for a while. Use chromecast/Kodi box so smart functionality doesn't need to be the greatest.

Probably looking for something i can pick up from a B+M store so i'm not waiting for weeks - unless its worth it

ideas for what i should pick up???? Was looking at the TGG discounts at the moment - Hinsense 65N6 ($1356) or the 65N7 ($1836) if thats worth the $500 extra

    I picked up a 65" Sony KD65X7000E from Bing Lee when they had the Ebay 20% sale for around $1700.

    No complaints about it so far.

    I’m in the same boat as you with the same budget and looking at the same tv options. I’m leaning towards the 65N7 rather than the TCL C2 from the feedbacks I’ve read, unless you’re going for the X2 series. The good thing about TCL is the cash back promotions of $150 currently on. Last time TGG had 65N7 for 2k and with 20% off you’re paying 1.6k but now they jack it up to 2.3k before 20% off so I’ll give it a pass and wait.

    @OP you mentioned you use Kodi… Have you used Kodi lately with no issues? None of the streaming links work for me lately. It sometimes works when I use a free VPN but then it always buffers :(

    Settled for a TCL 65C2US for $1169 delivered so don't think I'll get anything close to that

    Might try LG about my dead TV under ACL. Still have the receipt from jb. Nothing to lose.

    yeah im also keen to get one of these tvs, please share where you got it for that price. i noticed it is 20% off through ebay video_pro store but thats still $1250 delivered. im spewin i missed the $150 cash back offer by 2 days!

    thanks for the reply. well done on such a bargain! was that instore/on the video pro website or through ebay? apparantly video pro is having a 'black friday' type sale next friday the 24th with some tvs going for "cost price + $1" perhaps ill pick one up then.
