Recently started seeing Ebay branded $50 and $100 Ebay gift cards in Woolies.
Have never seen an option to pay by gift card on Ebay Aus though?
Anybody used them as yet?

Can confirm that I have just purchased an item with 7 gift cards (bought with Woolies egift cards) + the recent 20% off voucher "PREZZY". I would have to mention that I paid part of my order with PayPal though.
Not too sure about using additional gift cards, it still has the redemption box available. However, T&Cs stated only 8 incentive codes including gift cards and vouchers could be used, hence why I didn't try.
I am not sure if this would work if you were to pay the full amount with Gift Cards and didn't pay any of the balance with PayPal. All eBay vouchers that I have seen, the T&Cs state that it requires payment with PayPal for it to work.
That would probably mean you can't take advantage of the % off sales since they all require using Paypal as payment option which sucks otherwise you could potentially get bigger discounts if you can buy the GCs using discounted Wish GCs.
So you'd loose the buyer protection as well?

Also the fact that when you use a monetary voucher on eBay, you do not get a refund if anything happens.

Has anyone tried to use a Woolworths Gift Card / eGift Card to purchase eBay Gift Cards / Vouchers? I know that this is generally not an option, but interested to see if anyone has been successful.
I've been pondering about whether the eBay Gift Cards can be stacked with the eBay coupon codes.
According to eBay's gift card terms and conditions, Section 11 (under "Restrictions") mentions
No more than a total of $2000 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per day, and no more than a total of $5000 in Gift Cards may be redeemed per calendar month. Further, you may only redeem a maximum of eight Gift Cards in any single transaction (and fewer if you are redeeming Gift Cards in combination with other redemption codes, such as coupons or vouchers).
It seems to suggest that the eBay gift cards actually work in addition to the coupon codes.
Has anyone tried stacking them before that may verify?
Update: Actually, just a little further search, it actually permits you to do so!
From eBay's own FAQ, https://www.ebay.com.au/help/buying/paying-items/vouchers-di…You can spend more than one gift card at a time, or use a gift card on top of a voucher or discount offer. At checkout, put in one code at a time in the Add vouchers, gift cards section and select Apply after each one to update your order total. You can use up to 8 codes per transaction.
Now the saving game has just been elevated.
Further discoveries:
- I have successfully used a discount code and ebay GCs that covered the total cost. Still get an email from Paypal even though no money was taken from Paypal account.
- Despite 8 code limit in T&Cs, I have used a discount code and 8 GCs (7 x $100 and 1 x partially used one)
- The GCs work really well for USD purchases as they give fx rates on par with xe.comOne concern is what will happen with refunds and whether you need to keep records of all the 13 digit GC codes if they are re-credited. I've been using a clipboard manager (Ditto) and copy all types of GC codes just in case I may need it in the next few months as a backup.

I've just had a couple of refunds. It just says to gift card without specifying anything else. I'll contact them to see whether they will provide the gc number.

@LoveBargain15: Wow when I went to purchase stuff today, I had 3 previous gift cards remaining balance automatically appear for use. One had $8 which I had gotten a refund for, but I also had one with more than $50 on it! I don't know wtf happened, but perhaps ebay deducted more from one gift card than the one I expected leaving a balance on that one. Anyway I'm glad they have this system now.
Can you buy ebay gift cards with egift cards at woolies i have never really had much luck buying any gift cards with egift before at either checkout as does not allow guft cards buying gift cards.
Im looking at something that has 20% right now and thought save another 5% but not if im stuck with the credit as i have tried to buy other gift cards before and gave up.

Yep exactly. If they have the gift cards in the aisle and a self-checkout desk, you could do it yourself.
I hate having to argue with the checkout person saying that you can do it…especially when they are adamant.
The problem is that when you buy a gift cards even through the self checkout, it requires intervention by staff.
The option has always been there. There is a box that accepts a 13 digit redemption code.
