  • how come u would need 1080p at that tiny size? just for hdmi out i guessing?

    • +2

so you don't have to convert existing movie files to play them on this…

    • I'd say so, noticed it only has a resolution of 800x480 (the 6" at least)

  • is it even powerful enough to support h.264 1080p output?

Sorry to report the title for this seems somewhat misleading!

    From the specs:
TV-Out Connectors Audio cable and component cable (not included) NO HDMI

      • No dramas, just fix the title so the specs accurately reflect the particular model/price, I'll revoke my neg! ;)

        • +2

All fixed, I assumed they both had HDMI my bad..

    • +1

True, the $130 does have HDMI out, but that's not the one he's advertising in the title.

  • mmm… pre-order?? .

  • Wait for the video review. I've been looking at these Chinese MP4 players recently and found a few things. Firstly you'd be wise not to jump in head first buying them as they generally have poorer user interfaces (sort songs by filename rather than ID3 tags: Artist, Album, Song name, Genre, Year). Secondly most don't support playlists and album art which is pretty big dealbreaker for me. Lastly I've heard of people having issues with the Mp4nation store on warranty issues, I don't know how how substantiated these claims are but i'm thinking of doing a test order from them.

The Nationite range of players seem to be the best out of the lot that they have. Only UI I've seen thats smooth and has album art support

the 7" does have video review and these are better for video not mp3 and the SoChip SC9800 is meant to be a powerful processor but maybe check their forum for feedback reviews or firmware updates.
I have got a items from this site before and they were quick to respond my emails, also Paypal covers warranty issues but having to pay registered post to china could be costly.

Nationite is a rebadge brand released by Mp4nation and does not have full firmware support

Btw if u want to purchase the 7" version, here is a coupon for $5 off
