Hi there, looking for a cheap small camera that I can use as a surveillance camera for my Mum's house. Not looking for anything that needs to be installed, just something cheap and small (like a spy camera) that she can hang above her door or put in a window.
Or else, is there an absolutely novice/foolproof system that needs the simplest DIY installation in the world? Cheerio :)

Do you need to store footage to a SD card/HD or are you just looking for an IP camera for monitoring?
Zero IT know-how. I'm not technologically stupid, but this is no mans land for me. Storing footage would be a good idea (problem neigbours, need evidence)

Sounds like a trail camera is what you are looking for. These are used for capturing video of wildlife for hunting etc but can be used in security applications as they have motion detection and infra red (some invisible IR) so can even capture video in the dark. Just google 'trail camera' or look on ebay and they start at around AU$60.
