Seems to be the best price so far, at least i can't find it any cheaper.

5300 mAh battery with SD 625 oh man. This phone will last at least 2-3 days or possibly more depending on your usage…
Last ages, even with decent use. I typically get 2 days out of it despite watching up to 4 hours of Netflix.
Honestly though.. if I break this, I might try to find a good deal on the Max 1. Somehow I feel I liked it more.. felt better in my hand.
The 1 had SN650, with a faster GPU (180GF), on an older node (28nm), so wouldn't it be a little more power hungry?
OTOH, I guess the 6.44" displays would be a far bigger power drain.
I'm surprised by the screen time of these, it's excellent.
Yes, it had a noticeably faster, and hotter, CPU - but the power dragon want hugely noticable. Still roughly 2 days.
Or maybe I just use my Max 2 a bit more, so it feels equal despite more usage?
And the 2 has almost 10% bigger battery (4850 vs 5300). But, the CPU/GPU wouldn't be at maximum use all the time (for games, might be different). Maybe, also, it's just not significant enough to really notice, provided it makes it to 2 days?

$271 there - all the same….good find!
Yes, I asked Rep for discount and bought one, It was already shipped out.
When does the Taiwanese version come out?
What is the difference?
I thought it was one version with different ROMs (Global, China etc)
They said Taiwan Version may have Band 28….
Damn just ordered a Mi A1 on the weekend
Fear not, my friend. You'll have the pure Android experience. Quick updates (they're obliged to), slim, fast, etc. Hardware on the A1 is adequate enough for most things.
I got the Redmi Note 4X :(
Still a good phone, especially for how much it costs now. I can deal with the average camera, but I wish they brought NFC and more 4G bands to their Redmi line. Great price for mid-range phones.
@flaminglemon: true still a great phone. But would have loved quick charging 3.0 and the extra telstra band / frequency 900 just in case on top of the bigger battery life and screen imho.
I might be able to sell off my tablet if it becomes a great complete replacement and put that extra money to good use.
How does this compare to my Redmi Note 3 with Band 28?
16 months newer, heavier because bigger battery & screen (6.4" vs 5.5"):

But no band 28.
Can it be flashed to vanilla android 7 or 8 ? GSM arena says this runs "MIUI 8.0" OS.
Also, does it have USB Host (OTG) ?
6.4"!?!? That's a monster of a screen!
Not quite a monster…
7" Mytab ZTE V9 - 6 years earlier and almost $200 cheaper: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/45725
I just went to Hong Kong xiaomi to buy at 1899. Feels bad man. $316
Does ‘HALLOWEEN’ coupon work with this?
EDIT - yes it does, still cheaper in comments below
