Yep, most of the game is tedious grinding. You're forced to do missions over and over again for peanuts because everything costs so much.

Well ironically I think the stock market in GTA V actually gives you a decent amount of money, at least it did when I last played it.
You know, what makes it worse is that if you want upgrades for the Oppressor, the flying bike, you need to spend time or money researching that upgrade in particular. Fast-tracking research cost about 270k.
Thing is, the game randomly selects , from a pool of like 60 research options, which to research next. You can't pick and choose if you want to research night vision, or car upgrades, or bike upgrades. It's all random.
But to access the research options, you have to buy a bunker which is a few million. But in order to use the research options, you need to register as a CEO or Bikie. In order to register as a CEO or bikie president, you need to buy an office building(few mil) or motorcycle club house (500k).
There is a literal paywall blocking everyone's access to the flying bike upgrades.
Yeah that research thing is really annoying. Especially when some of the research unlocks are livery!
Let’s just hope they don’t lie again when you had to subscribe to Rockstar mailing list for a free $200k… still haven’t got the money.

Haven't played online in 3 years or so, caught wind of a flying bike the other day and looked into it. I had 1.2 million stacked up from the first few months way before heists and shit were even a thing. Apparently that's nothing because I remember the bike was miiiiiles out of my reach.
Anyway. Moral of the story is 400k ain't shit in GTAO anymore.
