      Yep, went to IGA Taylor rd in Nedlands. Their magnums are full price!

      Is this “special” limited to only certain IGA stores?

        Because they are independent and have to manually enter the specials at a store level, they are often slow to get their specials loaded into the system (cynic inside me says they are slow on purpose).

        Had the same with the Coke specials in this weeks catalog, they happily overrode the price for me, but how many people check?

        Thought I'd check it out myself as we sell these in our office staff room to raise funds for the Christmas party, and usually buy them when they are $4.

        I tried 3 IGA's Glengarry, Duncraig, and Carine.

        The Magnum special is only for a few varieties. Neither Glengarry or Duncraig carry these, and would not offer the special price on the varieties they do carry.

        Carine has them and the shelf price is shown correctly.

        Seems a bit of a bait and switch advertising when the items are not widely carried in stores…

    Going to check mine today (I am in the North of WA), but if I recall correctly, because IGA is independent, they don't always have the same sales between stores. I may be wrong about that though.
