Is this game good to play? I missed out years ago and played the trial however.

    • If you enjoy Diablo (the other ones in the series) in general then playing this is a no brainer…I loved it.

    • Got it on PS4 and from what I've read it's actually better on console than PC. It's certainly an excellent port and pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a Diablo game, so if you've got some spare cash and time I'd recommend getting the game

      • I own it on pc and ps4 and have to say l enjoy the ps4 version way more than the pc version

      • I have it on the Xbox and PC. Graphics/effects are noticeably toned down on console but local multiplayer is done very well and more than makes up for the difference IMO.

      • I'd love to see how that is the case for seasonal play.

    • Do you enjoy grinding and leveling up? If so then go for it.

    • It's two completely different games;

      1. Get it and play it with a friend or a group of friends (who haven't played it) and play through the story at your own pace, it's a fairly awesome RPG and it will last you many hours, after the first run you can go back and play it again with increased difficulty. When playing like this, don't read anything that tells you how to play your class, it's fun to work things out, and being overpowered won't make the game that much fun at this point.

      2. Every season you can create a seasonal character and RACE your way to the top of the leaderboards by levelling as hard and fast as you can, grinding the best loot drops by sheer luck and speccing out one of several viable builds (or make your own). You are going to aim for greatness, because the difficulty ramps indefinitely, you'll push yourself to be better than your peers, whilst still looting/playing with them.

Necromancer is a very powerful class and is super relevant for point 2, you don't need it for 1 obviously.

  • Not bad, think this is the first time is has been discounted. Still on the fence if it's worth getting at this price

I don’t think it’s gonna go down any further, been contemplating on getting this too but $22 for one character is a bit too much but for $15, I guess it’s ok.

      • don't forget you get extras like +2 stash tabs, character slots and extra cosmetics. I think it's worthwhile especially for seasoned veterans ;)

Thanks! I don't play much these days, but might as well get it at a discount. $22 was too much for "I might play it", but $15 is probably ok.

    • Hmm.. tempting..

Have you tried it out yet?

  • Bought it even though I've hardly played it so far …

  • Happy to team up with a few fellow members in some gr's pm if u like

    • I made a guy on my brother's sign in but want to use him online, is there a way to transfer him to mine?

      • If you're talking about PC, nope. But a power level takes about 15min and gearing is pretty quick too if you know what you're doing.

        • Xbox

        • @Slippery Fish: If it's anything like the PS3 version, you'd needed to have set up your own sign in on his console and used that when creating a character.

If you guys play co-op and you're player 2, there should be an option for you to choose which sign in account on his console you want to create your character under.

Otherwise, I don't believe you can use that character unless you sign in as your bro so you can use the character saves.

    • sorry forgot to mention on pc

  • I stopped at d3 vanilla. Back when the auction house still existed.

I bought the expansion but never played it.

Are my old characters utterly broken by patches with weapon damage increases since then? Would my old semi-powerful gear (it wasn't too great) be like whacking an orc with a toothbrush? That's what has put me off trying the expansion.. The fear of effectively having to restart and grind everything again

Considering a patch with huge powercreep was just released yesterday, pretty much.

But then it literally takes 10hrs of play or less in seasons to be end game viable. The majority of the player base restarts every 3 months.

They obviously made new gear more powerful to remove the imbalance that the RMAH brought about, but it's something that ALL RPG's do when you can level beyond the level cap in an expansion.

The point of this kind of game is being able to progress and improve when you get back to it after an expansion or hiatus.

  • ok tried purchasing this but seems the 30% off is for PC only, tried getting it on xbox but still showing old price.

  • Bought. Pm me if you wanna friend n play :)
