Best Store for TV Quality/Price Ratio and Payments

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has opinions on the best electrical store for TVs. As to price/ quality ratio, that's really hard to judge so open to interpretation there.

Just looking to buy a relatively cheap TV that will last me as bought one off gumtree last month wanting to be good and keep items in use while giving money to those who may need it. Sadly it broke 2 weeks after though.

I have enough to buy a cheap one outright but recently found out about afterpay where one can split the payments into 4 which I find just really handy so if anyone knows a TV that is on offer with something similar would be so much appreciated.

Anyway, thanks heaps for any help provided.

Most retailers these days have an interest free type arrangement. (JB, HN, etc.)

Typically this limits the amount of discount they will offer as they pay the interest up front as part of the deal. You are best waiting until a % of TV sale at a retailer like JB and then take advantage of the discount & interest free promotions on offer.

Just remember (I'm not directing this at you santoitaliano specifically) that even 'interest free' doesn't mean 'fee-free', normally you will pay around $5 a month or so over the term or about $60 a year and there may also be other costs for paying out your principle early and possibly a start up cost for the loan. So, say you go for 5 years on a $2000 TV, you'll pay at least $2300 all up.

I'm not saying that interest free isn't worth it for some people or certainly attractive, but I think a lot of people think that these interest free things is free money and it's just not the case.
