Hi ozbargainers.
I am overseas atm and just found that certain flower seeds are cheaper here. Is their any condition of bringing plant/flower seeds in Australia? Or i can just put them in my luggage and there won't be any issue?

Chuck the name in there
I presume this was a facetious comment.
It is surprising what they will accept. A friend from the states mailed me jerk spices in a zip lock bag. I thought that was the last I was going to see of them, but they let them through and I know they inspected it because they included a brochure saying they don't accept everything.
Do this. If in doubt declare them on arrival, the worst that will happen is they will take them off you. If you don't declare and they find them, you're gonna have a bad time.

Check with AQIS (see the contact page) or bicon
Do not smuggle anything in your luggage and expect the customs to let you pass unhindered. That's asking for trouble. You'll need to declare seeds and fruit.
Check this PDF first.

bought a lot from aliexpress, multi coloured rose seeds. arrived. sydney.
asian much?
you need a permit
I do this regularly.
Some things get through, some get taken.
Theres no problem as long as you declare them.
Don
t bother to bring tomatoes as apparently theyre totally banned.
Mixed is also out. Had a discussion as it was mixed colours, not varieties and I did win that one, but wildflower mixes etc. will get taken.
I don
t particularly do it for money saving but theres more varieties overseas.
The agent checks the list so that should help you know whether you
re wasting your money.
Just FYI your text is getting screwy because you used the wrong apostrophe. Should look like this:

Thanks Spaceback.
I nearly posted a follow up question where this weirdness came from.
Don't post very often and had forgotten how I fixed it last time
This is a quarantine matter and passengers bringing seeds in is strictly prohibited. Also you are putting our agriculture and economy at risk if you bring them in. Declare anything that you are carrying that you can eat, dairy products, plants, parts of plants, seeds etc. People from a specific country blatantly abuse this requirement, and I wish that the penalties were quadrupled.
I remember there used to be a show on TV called 'Asians smuggling in food & plants' about asians smuggling in food and plant and every time someone got caught they said they didn't understand the form on-board the plane… I think this is your best shot tbh.
Alternatively, bring a drone onto the flight and once you get on the tarmacm fly the drone outside the airport and then pick it up once you get out.
That show is now called "Border Security"
LOL yes I love that show, when asians come into Australia and someone tried to smuggle, parrots into Australia LOLOLOL. I was also on youtube and then someone was making a meme out of it
Are you Indian? Indians try to do this a lot too. Many get fined. I am sure customs people know who do this and can do slightly more scanning on certain people.
Don't do this.
are you bringing in seeds from Amsterdam per chance?
I'm pretty sure seeds is one thing customs deff do not allow. Check the biosecurity pages.
