It isn't quite as cheap as this deal, but still a good price for Corelle. This is part of the 30% off sale on the entire Corelle and Pyrex range at Big W.

If people are interested in Corelle and Pyrex stuff I would suggest looking at DFO places that have an outlet store. There can be some interesting bargains in the Corelle and Pyrex ranges. They often have the Oxo range of kitchen gadgets and storage containers as well. It is also worth looking at the Corelle noodle bowls as they are a great size.

I have a Corelle set that I have had for nearly 40 years and some of the plates are a little chipped, but most of it is still going strong. I just love that the plates are so light and no hassles with them in the dish washer or microwave.

    • How cheap is the Pyrex range usually at DFO? Cheaper than these sales? I tend to try to stock up on the containers when I can.

      • Dont know exact prices but I would expect 30% off. I would ring the store and get current prices as the sometimes have really good deals on some items.

  • Ha, wow! Blast from the past… and present :) Bought a couple of sets of these from Big Dubs back in the late 90s when I first moved out of home. They were about $30 a set and 20 years later it's all still going strong apart from a few scratches from ceramic knives. We've been tempted to replace it all with a nice basic white Maxwell Williams type set as it does look and feel a little nicer but we can't bring ourselves to do it… this Corelle stuff just keeps on keeping on!

If you want to get something a little fancier for dinner parties Corelle has some nice looking sets - although a bit more expensive than the base level ones. The DFO might be worth a look as well.

I know what you mean about tempted to replace them, my original set has a green pattern around the edge so we bought some plain white ones as they are a little more "classy"; however, I can't bring myself to through out the original ones as they are still very functional and do for us when we are on our own.
