When Are SSD Prices Set to Drop Again?

I know there was a shortage of NAND memory that was tipped to last until the beginning of 2018, but I thought we would start to see prices easing by now. Can anyone with some knowledge on the subject advise when we're likely to see prices get down to where they were before the shortage? I got the deal with the Crucial MX300 750GB for $147 a while ago and am keen for another similar deal.

    We are likely to see a swing from undersupply to oversupply in Q1 2018 with the overall market trend for the whole 2018 toward a stable equilibrium of supply and demand. Ref: http://www.trendfocus.com/many-price-hikes-enough/

      my $how_long = "how long is a piece of string?";
      So it is 30 units long.

  • Crucial MX300 750GB for $147

    Wasn't that $143?

    • Pretty sure it came 147AUD for me. It was an international transaction. From Amazon France I believe.

  • seems to be high demand low supply of video cards, ram and ssd

    i dont see any respite given that there's no one about increase supply

  • I think so. Maybe the small ones

    • 120gb ssds were around about $50 all day a while back

      I suppose you may see some around $60? $65 on special now?

      That's reasonable I guess.

      • I paid $71 for 128gb Ultra M2 SSD (NVMe) Intel 600P on recent 20% off ebay sale.
