Will be attending a number of trade shows in the US next year.
Does anyone know of a mobile credit card processing system that can charge in USD?
Paypal here can not with an australian account.
I have a US LLC business and bank account with Chase. However for a merchant account paypal, shopify etc require a ssn and proof of residency in order to open accounts.
Does anyone know of any australian services like paypal here that can change currencies?

Waiting until tomorrow to talk to their support. in theory it says yes on their website. but when you goto join in USA, it wants to verify your SSN as well.
So just searching for other alternatives while I wait in the meantime.

I think all US companies are the same (e.g. https://support.stripe.com/questions/why-do-you-need-my-date…), but may Stripe is more lenient if you contact them directly via support.
That sucks. Even if you were a resident, it kinda defeats the point of an LLC if they won't let you rely on your business's tax ID.
Apparently merchant accounts in the US require SSNs since they're tied to your credit rating and helps the bank avoid having to deal with dodgy charge-backs due to shifty foreign operators.
I suppose another issue is getting your income frozen when it exceeds a threshold.
Have you considered Square ?
