The prawns I've bought a couple of times from Aldi are from China. They seem decent enough.

Then they will taste like cardboard.
To then be seen on some trendy fusian Asian restaurant menu, served with some weird random sauce concoction and at $18 for 4 pieces. Those bao buns that have been all the range, are around $3.50 in the grocery stores for a pack of 8
Works out cheaper at Coles this week to buy the 300g packs
$3.75 for 12 at coles, so 36 for $11.25, works out cheaper per unit, but only just

Bought these recently and they are really tasty! Definitely recommend them. They taste quite similar to the ones I used to buy at one of the shopping centre Chinese places (and they cost almost $5 for just three of them!)
