Because they usually are $8 or $9 already, and they don't want you getting it 30-50% off that price.

They used to be traditional but always excluded - it must be top flavour and they dont want discounts
however i wish that dominos can use more than 1/2 a slice of tinned pinaaple per pizza - pineapple is not that expensive

Because hawaiin is a classic order in Australia. I imagine in USA they exclude pepperoni pizza.
The whole idea of sales is to rope in the people who wouldn't normally shop there, without disrupting your existing customer base who happily pay full price.

You can add half hawaiian and half hawaiian. There is a $2 fee for that. Plus Sunday surcharge. Too tight. Having leftover meat balls.

OP the real reason is that the deals are for traditional/premium pizzas only. There is a traditional hawaiian pizza but its cheaper and to be honest im not sure if its got more toppings than the value version…i tried ordering it once and was dissapointed by the amount of toppings on it.
Ultimately the reason is the price, they dont want you ordering the traditional hawaiian pizza and using coupon codes to make it ultra cheap.
Just get a ham and cheese + add pineapple. With the right voucher/time it'll work out to be half the price, roughly $6.50
I've never seen Dominos sell Hawaiian "piazz" - let alone in any deals! :)
