I'd prefer it to be a TN with 1ms if I was getting a 240hz monitor, over a 5ms IPS display
IPS panels have their downsides as well. Light bleed is a very common problem, even on expensive monitors.
People who buy this monitor don't care about IPS screen quality. They have a different priority. Think about target market before you make generalised comments.
delted
Amazing price came to $449.20 delivered for me though.
looks like a great monitor. I have a Asus 240Hz monitor with a 980TI strix, I do play alot at 120Hz because finding an online game that I can keep a solid 240FPS is really hard. BF4 i had set to 200Hz with fps locked at 200 but maintaining 200FPS isn't easy so i dropped back to 120Hz/120FPS (with light boost enabled). G-sync is not a necessity unless your video card is lacking and in that case 240Hz is probably not for you anyway.
IMO the monitor choice is just as important for gaming now as the video card, I cringe when i see "Gaming" monitors advertised here that are 60Hz.
damn, same price as my 144hz monitor.
highly recommand any serious FPS players. gtx1070 here, since in competitive game, graphics setting and all low/off (better fps, better visual), it is not hard to hit 200FPS (i run 80% scale most game if possible.)
