  What type are these? Are any dessicant based? We need one that works in cooler weather in Sydney.

  BTW, I see you have the ION632, but at $599 you are much more expensive than some of the retailers selling new stock via an ebay or their own online store. I can recommend the ION632 (already have 2) and am looking for another unit that is the same or similar.

    Hi,

    The two models mentioned in the ad description will be suitable for cooler climates (NWT WDH-930EDH & NWT WDH-070EBP) as they are a compressor unit but also have heating element for the cooler climate. The other NWT models are compressor without heating feature.

    Yes you are correct re: the Ionmax - we list all products on our website at normal retail price and have sales from time to time on different brands and models. The Ionmax desiccants are good

      Thanks for replying. I also have an Ausclimate model, but like having the ability to set the Ionmax's on auto at 40%, 50%, 60%, which the Ausclimate's don't have (otherwise they're very similar). Any idea if/when the ionmax's are likely to go on sale? Any chance of a special deal for Ozbargain on them some time soon? I'm not in a desperate hurry, so happy to wait for a good price.

        Yes, just about all of our brands will be on sale at some stage throughout the year. We normally run a sale for two weeks then have a break before starting the next.     Could you provide url links to the reviews as we would like to investigate this. The Brand is actually NWT (New Widetech) not Ausclimate. If you purchased one from us you are backed by a 2 Year manufacturers warranty plus you can always use us a your first point of call if you have any issues.
    We haven't had this brand for that long so we dont have any reviews on our website as yet, unfortunately reviews are very hard to get unless we pester the customer which we dont want to do.

    For somewhere like the Gold Coast you would more than likely use one for prevention of mould growth especially in the wet season. They can also ease the workload on air conditioning in super humid weather.
    There's a few other uses such as keeping music studios/rooms, photographic and electronic equipment storage at a consistent humidity etc
