Got a new prepaid Telstra 4GX plus,its decent phone - but having trouble with constant ads that are popping up every now and then. Comes when opening browser - sometimes when messaging, some times when going to any apps, etc… Very annoying and not sure what is or how to stop this thing.
is it coming from Google or not sure what - does any one have this trouble and what are the options.
Its a rogue app for sure.
On the top half of the phone…notification section
Ads for AWS, Uber, wish, etc….annoying

Backup and do a hard reset, on a separate note, how do you manage with 1GB Ram?
its hard to manage with 1 GB - but this is my temp phone till Pixel 2 is released !!!

I think its coming from Google Ads - Under Settings - there is Google as option and then it opens up Ad Settings - where you can opt out, which i did now - expecting less Ads now .. sure it will not remove all Ads - but expecting it to be less…
This started happening to mine recently, it turns out it was something to do with the keyboard app - Touchpal 2017. I selected the standard one and the ads stopped.
Thanks, I have not enabled it. My keyboard shows as Android ASOP . Is that different to standard?
I have now any way disabled touch 2017 keyboard. Will see how it goes. Thanks
Where are the apps appearing? In the browser itself or are they in the notifications panel?
