Hi All,
which one would you recommend for a gaming pc? Would asrock be worth paying that much in comparison with the others? I am happy to hear alternatives, as well.

Thank you.

    I bought this motherboard.

Have had no problems at all with gaming. I play Battlefield 1, Fortnite Battle Royale and GTA V.

Also, the Pro 4 has 4 Ram Slots :)

    • is it compatible with m.2 ssds and amd ryzen series?

        Yeah mate. I have a Ryzen 5 1600 installed.

And it definitely has a M.2 slot.

        Cheers

  • If you don't plan to overclock you can stick with the cheaper B350 board (which allows for overclocking anyway).

    • Ryzens top out at 4ghz anyway, so if you want to overclock beyond that then you'll need to look at Intel…

      • lol, purely for the sake of ghz race ?

        • If you're talking the difference between 4 and 4.2ghz it's no big deal, but the new i7 8700k offers 4.7ghz using the OOTB Turbo setting, so I can only imagine how much more headroom is there if you want to tweak manually.

To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, my current CPU was 3.4ghz stock, 3.8ghz Turbo, but I can get it to a stable 4.5ghz if I do it myself using the BIOS settings so I can see Coffee Lake hitting the 5ghz+ range.

  • Well it's just whether you plan to overclock or not.
