267Pcs Building Block Robot Toy $0.81 USD (~$1.03 AUD), HiFi Earphones $0.82 USD (~$1.05 AUD) Delivered @ Gearbest

2410
80%OFF$1

Spotted this as a new addition to the Under One Dollar deals provided by Gearbest, these codes usually last a couple of days and should be in Aus before christmas considering that it's more than 2 months away. Seems like an awesome little stocking filler. This would go well with the other Star Wars cheap deals I posted recently.

I believe that the max limit is 2 1 per purchase.

Make sure that you choose Unregistered Air Mail to get these prices.

SMZ658 HiFi Earphones - WHITE $0.82 USD (~$1.05 AUD) with 50%OFF$1

Couldn't tell you about the quality of these, but very cheap for what they are, and they look fairly reliable.

If you are getting a coupon expired message, try and make a new account and apply the coupon.

More coupons still work in this deal :)

As always, enjoy :)

  • Code already expired for R2D2
    =\

    • Works perfectly for me, there is known issues with these codes, it'd be worthwhile making a new account for purchases for these codes :)

      • =\ don't know why it just won't work for me
Tried another account and same message.
Created a new account and same.
Clear cache, used a different browser as well.
All your other promo worked for me so not sure why. Maybe I've exceed using promos lol

        • That is really unsual..I'm sorry to hear of your experience. Have you tried to buy on your mobile 4G internet to see if it's an IP issue?

        • @doweyy:

Used wifi and tried mobile data too.
Oh no… I'm gonna miss out.
Alright hold up gonna try vpn now..

          @iamtezr:

Sounds like Gearbest really don't like you using these codes lol, maybe send them a message enquiring about it?

        • @doweyy:

          Thanks doweyy,
VPN didn't work either. Created another account just to be sure and it worked. Will send them a message because I don't want to miss out on these deals lol.
Already have deadpool, iron man, spider man and ninja turtles.

Quality isn't great and they need to be placed in a display box or some sort, otherwise the pieces will fall out and you'll lose them.

Will see if I can upload a pic

        • @iamtezr:

Awesome to hear that you got it sorted out, so stupid how a new account needs to be made to take advantage of deals like this.. Would be good if you could upload a pic please, thanks for the feedback.

Display case can be bought from Daiso ($2.80) and fits nicely. Just have double sided tape on the base. Also the method to building these beside following the # is building it from the bottom to the top.
E.g. Image of instruction for #1 has 3 parts, build it from the bottom section first then work your way up, then move on to #2, etc…

        • @iamtezr:

You've got a nice looking collection there! Thanks for the tips, should help some people out :)

Can see what you mean about the pieces possibly falling off..

    • +1

      Worked for me, thanks doweyy.

  • Thanks op got one.

  • +1

Damn, thats a good price for the r2d2, i bought them when they were $4-5 from aliexpress >_>

  • +1

Thanks OP - just ordered an R2D2, should look great on my shelf as a novelty piece.

  • +2

Can anyone comment on what the quality of these is like? Some of the Lego knock-offs are absolutely terrible. Others are pretty decent. Thanks.

    • +24

it's $1. So obviously it's hand crafted by Swiss watchmakers to a 1 nm tolerance level.

      • -2

I'm obviously not complaining about the price. I wouldn't buy a Mitsubishi car even if it was super cheap. Even at $1 it's not a bargain unless the quality is at least half-decent.

        • there are a number of clones of the Nanoblock brick shape and size, LOZ seems to be the highest quality, actually has more clutch power than official Kawada Nanoblocks whilst being 100% compatible and having extra pieces like special tiles and slopes you can't get otherwise.
this R2D2 is one of the lower quality copies, I think this might be from "Dr Star" brand or Wisehawk cause I've seen it around before, these have just OK clutch power and not always super vibrant colours but are still fun to put together and look nice on a shelf when all is said and done

EDIT - note that Gearbest MISLABEL the LOZ brand onto clones - LOZ has an all caps red and yellow logo and they have pokemon and Frozen sets where you can see the box and they lack any markings from the brand.

I get the LOZ stuff from AliExpress and the brick count in stuff like the astroboy and snoopy sets is phenomenal for the price with about 20-30 spare pieces to collect from each set - if LOZ made an R2D2 this year you could expect transparent blocks and angled pieces and a low price but you'd be waiting ages for shipping

Here's a video of the final build, looks fairly decent quality.

        Thanks mate. That's helpful.

      • +3

I believe it's not actually that one. This is the correct one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVIdL8o65gk , looks a lot smaller

        • Oh whoops, my bad, good find!

        • Thanks.

My eyes were burning from watching a portrait video.

      Buy first. Comment later.

  • Code only works for 1 unit but the max you can order is 2 just in case people think it's not working properly (like me).

  • Expired.

    • Still works perfectly for me, try the troubleshooting steps in the first few comments. Check the timestamp in the URL

Try and make a new account and apply the coupon.

    • Strange i just bought one. No spaces and all caps for the code? (My phone put a space before the $)

  • Lego has expired.

  • bought.
    thanks

  • AWESOME.

    Not.

Now nothing works for us. Ever since we got the GB app, nothing else works. Now even the app doesnt work. Give up

    • Sorry X3, I know you had terrible luck with these codes, maybe try make a new account and try again if you really want one?

      • Thanks doweyy, may do that later - trying to avoid opening too many accounts. It'll lead to Zombieitis!

Maybe it's a sign to cut down on buying. One account has 9 pages of orders, the other, 4 pages. Meh.

        • I'm the same, I only have two accounts active, if these don't work on the main I just attempt to buy on the alt, really stupid how they've set up these codes.. That's not enough purchases!

        • @doweyy:

Very frustrating. Not only does it not work, the prices sometimes go UP after I put the code in. Slapski in da face I tells yah.

Thanks for the advice tho doweyy, and for posting the code (even if it doesn't work for me bahahaha)

        • @X3:

That is honestly so stupid, I completely understand your frustration.. No worries, just wish it worked for everyone lol!

  • Can only buy one R2D2 :/

  • Bought the Earphone for $1.04, thanks.

  • All good just ordered one, no issues. For people having difficulties try what others have said: clear cookies/cache, try another browser/incognito, disable VPN, a different device etc.

    • Once or twice, don't matter none, but after the tenth time it really starts to blow.

      • A few more tries, it matters tons, at the eleventh time when it starts to show.

        • +2

          Poets are schmucks! ;)

  • Cheers. got robot

  • Thanks bought one

  • grabbed some headphones. thanks OP

  • For $1, I could relive those old lego and technic days. Thanks OP!

Hi everyone. I got a question, two actually. Are these licensed? And if not what's ozbargain's policy for posting these types of things? I've noticed a few of these (ie the "spaceship" bottle opener) and wondered whether they breach of copyright.

    • Unlikely.

    • Lol, are you a competitor?

      • Ha. Just for the record, no. Just genuinely curious was all as I've seen things such as Lego copies and Windows keys barred. I think that this is similar ti those as it breaches copyright imo.

  • Thanks op, got one

  • Cheers mate just purchased R2D2

  • Are these blocks compatible with other brands?

    • +1

Same size as Lego. I've bought other kits

  • Earphones have a 4.8/5 score from over 500 reviews, earphones for me and generic unlicensed robot character as a gift : ) thanks OP

  • got one

  • If the code doesn't work after you paste it, type it in manually. Worked for me.

  • Didn’t need it, purchased anyway. It’s the ozbargain way.

  • Cheap bricks, thanks!

  • thanks op got one

  • +1

    Thank you, doweyy.
I managed to snag one of these.

  • Thanks - got mine!

  • Has this expired? Tried to get one and it says The Code you entered is not for this product.
    Tried two accounts.

    • Ahh yep, have expired the deal now.

  • Same. The Code you entered is not for this product.

  • This is BACK!

    • Awesome :)

  • The Code you entered has expired.

  • got mine today

  • Same here. I had a load of left over parts when I completed it, not ones that should have been used but duplicates that I didn't need etc.

Can't complain about the price, if a little fiddly putting it together.

  • Received mine as well and I had good fun building it. Quite happy with the quality for the price. Thank you Op!!!!

  • Got mine on Saturday!

  • Mine arrived today :)
