MSY has dropped their prices recently and now have the best price on staticice. They have either HIS or PowerColor cards but the prices are the same.

These are arguably the best video cards available for the price.

          IMO, if you're ok with the performance, just stick with what you have.
          Technology is always advancing and stuff is always getting cheaper.
          And what's the point of upgrading if it whatever you do doesn't require it?

          thats the whole nature of the game - just be thankful that you didnt get a 8800gtx for $800 or something when it came out.

          I never mentioned that I'm going to upgrade to 6800 series LOL
          5870 is still faster than 6870 by a good margin.

          AMD is using the numbering of 6800 to success 5700 series
          I know it's 6800 isn't quite at the similar price range as 5700 series first came out

          But there will be 6900 series coming soon to replace 5800 series

          Then 5870's price will drop a lot before being discontinued.

    6800s are much better than 5700 when crossfiring. Might want to call your local MSY store for stock, because Sydney city (Ultimo) didn't have any and said to try in 1-2 weeks!!

    a 8800gtx would have been a bargin at retail price 3-4 years ago, it remained a powerful video card for years, still is decent.
