8 Children's Favourite Fairy Tales for iPhone/iPad - FREE via iTunes (normally $3.99) EXPIRED

390

All books are high fidelity voice animation recordings with vivid characters and exquisite illustrations. The 8 books are: Pinocchio, The Emperor's New Clothes, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, The Frog Prince, The Happy Prince, Sleeping Beauty & Cinderella.
There are 3 reading modes:
"Read for me" - This mode comes with audio reading
"Read it myself" - The book will be read by parents or yourself.
"Recording DIY" - Via recording, present the story with your own voice which will be saved in the system.

Note: contrary to a customer review about not being able to return to the menu from within a story, all you need to do is tap the screen at the top centre. Enjoy.

  • So instead of reading to my kid every night, I can just record it once and it will be played back repeatedly?
    Isn't technology wonderful!

      yep, it's great isn't it…

    • +2

Nah, don't bother recording…just let your kid bond with some stranger's voice.

ANY reading to a child is better than NO reading to a child!

This one can be found on appshopper.com. There is even an iphone app for it.

I'm sick of seeing apps being posted in ozbargain. If you want free apps go to freeappalert.com, they have a collection of all the free apps and it's updated daily. All the apps that have been posted on ozbargain can already be found on that website.

    • Well Thomas, the easy solution is for you to hang out on freeappalert and let the bargain hunters hang out here. We'll keep posting til we're banned.

    • Hey dude take a Chill Pill!

I like many others find it very useful but thanks for the prompt to check out freeappalert.com

To the OP thanks for posting.

    • I see where you're coming from, but I've pretty much resigned to the fact that OzBargain is a fire hose of whatever deals people think are worthy.

Yes, that will mean there's a lot of stuff that's irrelevant to me, but until a better system comes along, where I can filter deals according to my needs / interests, then OzBargain's all we got. And I must say, it's much better than a kick up the ass.

I actually enjoy seeing these in Ozbargain, as I look at Ozbargain rather than freeapp sites, as Ozbargainers usually find the good freebies in the apps :)

    Also,
    To get this free app..
I went to the App Store (not Itunes store) and searched for Happyreading-Children's Favourite Fairy tales 8in1. :)

  • Does anyone know if these can be downloaded and saved to my pc until I get my iphone for xmas?

    • Absolutely. You can just "buy" them in iTunes.

  • Silly me, I didn't pay enough attention to the title and thought I read the books on my PC and I downloaded it!

  • website says free, but when I go to itunes or use the app store it says it is $4.99 :(

  • expired… its now $5 again. damn, missed it.

    • Thanks again UFO. Expired the post. Cheers.

  • My kid's loving this, even with the American accents. However, the screen goes white at the end of the Cinderella. I then have to delete and reinstall. Such a hassle.
