I bought some cards, they did not do e-gift cards, but physical (so had to wait for weeks!).
Also, when I checked my credit card statement, a cash advance charge was on it.
When I rang my bank, they said the seller put it through via Paypal as a cash advance transaction and not a standard credit transaction.
I never gave any authorisation for a cash advance, so they reversed it.
Given the poor experience last time (waiting weeks for the physical cards), Unless you need something for big$$$, I'd probably stick to the 10% from entertainment book without any surcharges and risk of not getting the cards (remember this transaction is not covered by eBay if it fails to show up in the mail).

No it's usually not a cash advance. Somehow transactions with this eBay retailer (blackhawk/giftcardstore_au) gets classed as a cash advance..
@cwongtech: I used cashrewards with this transaction and it worked. Also, I paid with AMEX and it was not classified as a cash advance (and I got my reward points).
same guy last time as well. Wait more then 1 month to get all the cards. Too risky. No reply from seller after 2 weeks till i received my gift cards last year. i was thinking i am so lucky to received them. probably avoid this seller if you can
The seller is Blackhawk, they supply many gift cards to supermarkets. Last time they ran a promo during Xmas 2016 they were overwhelmed with orders.
Should be a bit better this time round.
