Have about 5k in USD in me netbank account. Thinking about turning them all to AUD since the exchange rate drops a bit and USD earns no interests. However after checking with commbank, they offer a very poor rate. So OZBers, would you please recommend a way/site to do the exchange? Only looking for legitimate ways so bikie is really not an option. Thanks in advance!

TransferWise
Transferwise - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/333640
Currencyfair - https://www.currencyfair.com/If it is in a CBA $US account, isn't the only way to get it out is through CBA?
So I can't transfer to other Aussie accounts?
That is what I am thinking. (I'm not familiar with this particular account)
With a Foreign Currency Account, you can be your own bureau de change in NetBank.
How to access your account
Deposit or withdraw money from your account in NetBank or at any CommBank branch
Cheque books and Keycards not provided. To make payments from a Foreign Currency Account:
- Send an International Money Transfer or buy an International Bank Draft in the currency of the account
- Buy a bank draft and have the foreign currency equivalent debited from your accountAs to your question:
So I can't transfer to other Aussie accounts?
Only when converted to Australian Dollars by CBA?
since the exchange rate drops a bit
Actually isn't the US Dollar rising?
OFX I believe the admins of Ozb use them.
Withdraw cash in US.
Go to Ha Trung street in Hanoi Vietnam and exchange to AU.Any update on this OP?
I used to use ofx / usforex.com… 2% flat fee… transferwise is only 1%
Sell to a friend going to the US.
