Hi.. been wanting a new vacuum… this one seems to review well. The launch price of this model was high but its come down due to competition over the years.

Its still exy at some places..

Harveys sell a similar model ( https://www.harveynorman.com.au/vax-1200w-air-upright-vacuum… ) but it doesnt have as long an extension hose… in fact its universally complained about as having too short a hose.

Shipping is free over $150.. so its free on this model.

Ive put my money where my mouth is and purchased one.

  Have a vax that's similar to this - but blue (so probably a different version of the same thing?)

  Anyway, it's epic - does a great job! Very happy with it, and have had it for a few years now :)

    Have you found that is has gone squicky in the wheels and bit harder to push on thick rugs? Still picks up so much but feels heavy now. Waiting for a deal on the new vx66 cordless

      Wheels aren't squeaky. Maybe just needs some lubrication? Has always been a bit hard on thick rugs but most vacuums with a powerhead would be similar I think?

    I have the same model as Deeps. Wife complains it's too heavy though. But vacuums really well.

  Harvey Norman has this for the same price at the moment. I was live chatting today and they dropped it down to $175 just by asking for a best price.

    NO… harveynorman have the VAU1200… same vac but without the 4.6mt extension hose and lance… and without the portable turbo tool for couches ect.

    This is the vx55… i linked and explained the difference between this and the harveys one in the opening comment.

      Sorry mate. You are correct. So they're identical apart from the cord lengths? Easy enough just to chuck an extension cord on it yeah?
