Good Value Projector - 1080 Vs 720 (GP90)

Hi everyone

I've seen in forums and on Amazon that the Vivibright GP90 range of projectors is a good deal as far as budget projectors go. This is only native 720p-ish, however - are there any similar good value projectors that are 1080p resolution?

    Personally I wouldn't go below 1080p for showing a movie on a wall. They can be had for ~$500 on import, which is a bargain compared to an LCD flatscreen - and they will last years.

        One of the known brands : Optoma, Epson, BenQ, Infocus, Sony, Viewsonic etc. who know something about decent picture quality.

        Best way to narrow it down is go see one in a shop and work out if DLP or LCD is for you (personally I prefer DLP). Also need to think about throw for your room.

        I've had mine for 7 years now, and I would recommend it except that they no longer sell them (Mitsubishi).
