Wondering if anyone has seen any good deals on vornado 660 fans. I can't find anything under RRP on them. Also if anyone has had any experience on these fans and how good they are compared to pedestal ones? 50% of reviews say they kill pedestal fans etc and 50% of them say they're garbage.

Yeah, I got $199 at HN in Melbourne the other week.
It's just a ducted fan. wrap a piece of carboard around any old fan and you'll get the same effect.
I have a small one and it does the job, but I'm not convinced it's any better than a far cheaper fan.
It's better made than your typical $20 KMart job, but you'd hope so at the price premium!Best thing about vornado 660 is it is a lot quieter than other fans for the amount of air it moves - money you are paying is going into well made bearings
just bought vornado 660 from ebay and a vornado 633 from ebay
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/182465451614
vornado 660 final price was $171.95. $20 discount plus another 5% ebay discount
I'm trying to buy the same one from the same seller.
I can't get to apply P5OZZIE. It says 'This code can't be applied to your order.'
Any idea…?
I bought one recently from Costco at $150. Another OZbargainer bought from Harvey Norman at $200. The fan is really good. There is review on YouTube on this specific model. Not sure how this fan will do for extreme heat like last year, can only wait and see. I love on how to use it in small room in the lowest setting as I can feel the breeze. Power is 50w thus way smaller than aircon and not using water is a plus as well.
