Menulog is running another Jeff Goldblum promotion which actually works out to be a decent value if you want to watch 3 movies.

At regular cinema prices:

  • 3 movies will cost you $21.50 for a total of $64.50.
  • Choc Top is $6.10, Small Popcorn is $7.95 and let's say pizza for 1 from the closest pizza place, Bondi Pizza is $10. $24.05 total for food.

Total Cost: $88.55

At tightarse prices:

  • 3 movies are $11.50 each from Optus Perks for a total of $34.50
  • Choc Tops don't appear to be sold in supermarkets (or I can't find them), don't think people are popping hot pop corn at home to bring to theatre (or are you?) OK I stand corrected, people do do this so add $1, and you can probably get a Dominos Value Pizza from the Glebe location a couple of blocks away for $5.

Tightarse Cost: $46.60

I don't think Jeff Goldblum will be there but always possible as he was here for their last promotion in May.

      My girlfriend actually does this. We buy the microwave bags from Woolworths and pop them at home then put into a plastic bag and take into the cinema haha

        She's a keeper! Mine would likely laugh at the idea if I suggested it. Taking prepackaged popcorn is her treshold.

          Just be careful not to use those new high speed Dyson hand dryers. I did once and lost 80% of my popcorn or if the bag!

    This deal really depends on quality of takeaway pizzas and how fresh these popcorns menulog serve. can assume most people turn up after 6pm get free parking and would only watch Thor movie and likely dash off home after getting the choc top.

      I contacted Hoyts and Broadway shopping Center. I can confirm free parking after 6pm until 2am. Otherwise 4hrs free if you validate.
