Benefits of Raised Dog Beds
The benefits for you are that your floor is easy to clean as you are able to vaccuum or sweep the floor beneath the raised bed. Plus, if your dog's hair is fine enough, it is able to shed through the fabric, keeping your dog comfortable and free from shedded dog fur. Secondly, although there is no guarantee that your dog is not going to chew on the bed, it is relatively chew-resistant as long as your dog is not able to access the edges of the cover.

A raised dog bed is good for your dog as well, it is cooling in the summer and keeps your dog warm in the winter because of it has no contact with the floor. To keep your dog extra warm, just add a Hessian Bag or a piece of cloth onto the raised bed. Raised Dog Beds are ideal for indoors and outdoors, if your dog is wet, a raised bed allows it to dry off fast on the mesh fabric.

Are the legs and frame just push together?

    • Hi Scab! yes they are push together, designed to be easily assembled.

Got cheaper on from aldi and im pretty sure kmart has a cheap one, whats so good about this?

To be fair, the ozdogbed models looks much better quality than the kmart brand.

        • Don't like the material used on this one, much prefer the mesh type ones as they're far easier to clean.

My dog chews bones on his bed and makes a mess, all I have to do with the mesh one is to hose it down.

        • @Scab: fair enough, the mesh might be easier for a pooch to chew through though.

        • @upper-d:

It's pretty resilient stuff, this is probably tougher but it wouldn't stand up to a dog chewing.

One thing I really like with the mesh is that it stretches slightly after a while so it's like a hammock.

Mine is a decent brand though, no idea what the cheap ones are like.

It's deconstructed. It's all the rave.

  • Has anyone tried a stretcher bed instead (camping style)? any reason why this would not be a good option?

  • +1 for the Aldi one and much cheaper than this. My dog weighs 35Kgs and the Aldi one is still going strong.
