For us cheapskates foodies in NSW I reccomend Oxford Tavern in Petersham. Any other affordable restaurant reccomendations ?

If the restaurant accepts both types of gift cards, then yes (I've done it before).

Out of curiosity what reason was given for being denied use of Entertainment Book? I ask because theoretically it's just a payment method..

The redemption of Good food Gift cards cost the restaurant 22% transaction fee. This is why they cannot allow entertainment book on top
@illumination: It is high but in this day and age restaurants are trying to find ways to bring in new customers.

Here's something you could pass on… I'm sure me + many other Ozbargainers would take an offer from a restaurant saying they'd pass on extra discount to me for NOT using a Best Restaurants/Good Food Gift Card!
Seems some places accept the card with Entertainment Book but others won’t.
