Credit Card Charge Back Vs PayPal Resolution Centre for eBay Purchase

Hi guys

So I have bought an iPhone recently from one of eBay stores.

Even though they advertised as brand new iPhone, it turned out to be a refurbished phone.

Now, I'm trying to get my money back and postage fee. I have already contacted the seller who wants me to send the goods back without giving me the postage label.

Should I just request a charge back through my Credit Card or consider PayPal resolution centre?

    doesn't paypal have free returns?

but I would go via the PayPal Resolution first, and then go the Credit Card

As a general rule, I'd use a credit card charge back after PayPal's dispute resolution process has been exhausted.

    Paypal resolution centre first.

If you do a credit card chargeback, the funds will be taken from Paypal (not directly from the seller). Paypal may ban or restrict your future usage if you do a chargeback.

  • some sellers are great and cooperative. Some instances it took me dozens of mails and months to recover my money.
