Not really the biggest bargain, but since it has been so long Ozb has had a decent mp3 related post, thought I might share this one.

Creative is currently having a sale on the Creative Zen MX, which is $89.95 for the 8GB model and $109.95 for the 16GB model.

Both comes with a free silicone skin with wire management. I suppose that means you can wrap the headphone wire around the skin and it holds it for you.

Free shipping. By far the cheapest on Static Ice — if you do a search, there is one for cheaper at Digitan but that is out of stock, and they also charge for shipping.

    Another alternative is the Creative Zen X-FI 2 which has a 3" touchscreen.

      Thanks for posting. I was considering grabbing a second hand iPod Touch for $100-$130ish. Still deciding

        Well the good thing about the Creative Zen's are that you aren't stuck with iTunes and you can drag and drop.

        With the iPod touch though you get access to the appstore, and with the free app listings on OzBargain every few days you'll never run out of apps to use ;)

          Yeah thats the thing that I'm tossing up. Ipod Touch also has WI-FI and Bluetooth over the Creative which are big dealbreakers. With the new Touch 4G its even more complicated with the addition of two cameras and high res display.

          What to get…
