After the week promotion period the large chips and gravy will be available for order in store after the week has passed. KFC are doing this week early promotion in order to attract more people to use the online ordering system.

Im not complaining but my comment was directed to OP's last sentence. Clearly you get this deal with the app but why not just rock up to KFC?

@dylanando: Yes I suppose it is to attract users who get all slack jawed if a magical computer app is involved but the main reasons are they want you using the app is to connect your identity data to match to other data that has already been collected about you by other parties.
This allows the business to manipulate you into losing more money than before without your awareness by using marketing.
And the other reason is they can now spam your notifications if they want unless you block it. However since this is annoying they probably will only do this rearely because the manipulation I already outlined is worth more of your money to them so they don't want you uninstalling it.
@dylanando: Well for them at least, it simplifies and speeds up the ordering process. Lowers chance of getting an order wrong due to miscommunication.
i'll wait the extra week; their app is annoying to use at the best of times. i also remember when they had the 24 nuggets for $10 promo that was app-only and which promptly crashed.
Are you confused with Maccas? The KFC app is one of the most reliable I've ever used, never had an issue placing an order
I've used the KFC app in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide CBD and suburban stores, no issues either. Heaps better than that Maccas Mobile Ordering app….75% of the time I can't even get the menu to load in that app
I recently had a duplicate charge on Maccas, always errors there. Need to claim back.
KFC on the other hand no problems, just need to be careful to select the correct store you're ordering from
Shit thing about Maccas as well there's no option to pay cash/in-person. So no wonder my card got charged.
I select Pay cash in KFC app, but when I get there I still use my debit card anyway no problems!
I have never got the KFC app to work. Every time it gets to the last stage and says "We need more information" and then bombs out. Seems a common problem judging by the reviews

the kfc app doesn't work in alot of the city stores anyway. Good if you are in the suburbs though.

I really hope it's an actual LARGE chips this time. Last time this promo ran, it was more like half a handful. I spoke to the manager of my local store and he said lots of people had complained. It came in its own promo box with the chips + gravy in the box - after the complaints, the store switched to normal large chip boxes with tub of gravy on the side.
Lets try and see.

For me its probably the 4.1 Android Jelly Bean. Rest of the specs are better than most Budget/Pre-Paid phones (1GB RAM, Snapdragon 400).

I like the app when it decides it wants to work, most of the time I get "oops something went wrong and crashes". Reading the reviews, I am not alone. Most of the work arounds don't help.

Yup.
I beleive its because there is no value promotion when the 9pc for $9.95 ends today. So for the next 6 days that app only deal replaces it.
UPDATE,
KFC have changed the promotion schedule and the large chips will be hitting stores tommorow 25/10/2017 until 27/11/2018 and will be available to order in-store rather than using the app.

Tried to buy in store Pitt St, Sydney and was told not available. Not sure if clueless cashier or actually not available. Not mention on Facebook. May need to verify sources.
I have also just tried to buy in store in the Macquarie Park / Lane Cove rd branch and they advised that because they are not participating in the appstore promotion, this offer will begin next week (on 30/10) for this store.
The large chip alone is nearly 500 Calories with 70g of carbs, plus whatever sh#t that comes in the gravy. Not sure why anyone would pay to eat that sh#t.
