2015 13” Macbook Pro

Super long shot but

I’m looking to buy a brand new 2015 256gb 13” Macbook Pro.

Local Apple stores don’t have them in stock, anyone know of any stores that would possibly still have stock? I’m in Perth but if you know any stores local to you let me know & I’ll see if I can get them to sort delivery or something.

Thanks!

Why do you want an old one?

    • lack of ports on the new model aye.
I don’t really want to spend around 2k to use a dongle just to connect a usb or hdmi.
plus the non touchbar model only comes with 2 usb c ports which 1 of them is used for charging, so annoying

I get it, but everytime I've questioned Apple's logic about dumping stuff (Disk drives, DVD drives, 3.5mm Jack) I've realised I didn't use them or need them anyway. I'd trust Apple.

        • Agreed, Got the new macbook coming from the 2014 one and honestly havent been caught up yet. I have a hub dongle thing just incase.

  • Gumtree brah, they're pretty good aswell, by advise get a dell xps 13.

    • would rather a brand new one :/
i was actually tossing up between the inspiron 13 & xps 13, one of them will most likely be my choice if i cant find the 2015 mbp

      • xps 13 great choice, if you want touchscreen make sure to get the touchscreen model.

Very, very little chance of a) finding one that's new, and b) finding one that isn't waaaaay overpriced. Easy to go for the 2016/17 and carry around a single USB-C hub with a couple of USB 3 ports, HDMI etc (how often will you actually need to connect a device anyway)? The 'dongle' obsession is a bit overstated IMO (only need one small dongle for mostly the same I/O as the 2015) and you'll likely find that the other features/improved specs more than make up for it.

When I was searching for my MBPr, there was the occasional 13" 2015 model listed on eBay, for around $1400, but I'm not entirely sure if you'd get the full warranty + ACL.
