Fantastic deal on a great bike - bought one two weeks back. Groupset is Shimano Ultegra 6800.

Similar deal at Bikebug nationally. All 2017 and prior Colnago on special.

    A note on Colnago warranty:

Three years from the date of retail purchase if you register the frame, within ten days from purchase, on the www.colnago.com website
Two years if you do not register the frame within ten days after retail purchase

A few brands from the top of my head: Trek, Giant, Orbea, Cell, Cannondale all have lifetime warrantys on their frame….

    • WOW I did not know that. What a disappointment with Colnago being one of the top end brands. Is it because their frames are made in Italy hence why they have no confidence in their workmanship? I thought all frames were still made in Taiwan except a few models of Colnago.

      • I think the C60 is still handmade in italy but a fully madeup C60 with a Campy Super record Gruppo will set you back the price of a small car. These model Colnago frames are made in Taiwan. I was tempted a fortnight ago when the BikeBug email came out.

    • As long as I understand, the meaning of 'lifetime warranty' is not 'your lifetime' but 'the product lifetime'. And these days, three years of product life cycle is quite long!

Don't get me wrong, I don't like such a warranty and that's why I buy cheap stuff and toss when broken.

      • Yes ..lifetime can be misleading with some brands..I was looking at Cannondale and it's the duration of ownership to original purchaser …..so thinking get one and just upgrade running gear every few years.

        • I've had a couple of Treks. Same there, lifetime warranty only applies to the original purchaser, isn't passed on to any subsequent buyers. Last year I crashed a Trek and broke the top tube, luckily I was insured. Obviously the insurance company wanted to repair the Carbon rather than buy me a new bike. My local bikeshop guy was on point though and advised me to tell them that carbon repair voids my lifetime frame warranty. Worked a treat, they bought me a new bike!

Awesome pickup @eruption! Sadly, I've just missed that cutoff by about 3 days. :-(
